The Halo microchip scanner is a practical and robust hand scanner for reading identification chips from animals. It has an excellent reading range and a very long battery life (2 months in standby). The Halo chip scanner reads all 10 and 15 digit chip numbers. The 15-digit chips (type FDX-B) are the standard in the EU for animal chipping. The 10-digit chips (type FDX-A) are used in the US, among others. The scanner can be used for reading chips in horses, sheep, dogs, cats, etc. The Halo chip scanner is equipped with an internal lithium-ion battery. This can be recharged via a USB via the PC.
